Product information "Jones Frontier Splitboard 22/23"

Previously named the Explorer, the Frontier Split is the ultimate splitboard for playful
riders looking for a directional freeride shape without a stiff flex. The Frontier features
a floaty, freeride nose for pow crushing and crud busting matched with a freestyle tail
that’s perfect for popping pillows and stomping cliff drops. On icy skin tracks or firm
descents, the Directional Rocker profile and Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide
confident stability and edge grip. The Frontier Split offers high performance without
skimping on materials as it’s built with a Sintered 7000 base, an Eco-plastic topsheet
and a new FSC Classic Core that is specially profiled for added pop. New for 2020, the
Frontier Split has Rounded Recycled ABS Sidewalls for improved topsheet durability.

Awesome board, easy skinning

I tried a couple of models in the past, but not to such extent.
I have so far spent 15 days on this board and I did put it through some abuse as I was anxious to get some turns (even though the conditions weren't that good in some parts). The board has hold up well, nothing that a good end-season wax-job couldn't fix.
Skinning is easy, snb/split transition fast as well, riding down feels easy and natural. The board maneuvers well and holds its icy edge, too.
No particular problems with any parts so far, the nose & tail clips hold well, even though only to 98% :) you cannot always hear/feel the 'click' of them (I suppose because of the tiny snow/ice particles). But it does not affect anything - like it was mentioned in another comment - a sensible binding holds the board together (I am using Spark Arc).
I am 178cm / 78kg / 11 size boots. I wanted 159 with L-binding, but Simon advised me to go for 161W and M-size binding - could not be happier with the choice, especially for the price within the set!

Ein gutes Board

Ein super gutes splitboard fur ins Powder zu riden. Fur mein Gewicht (87kilo) finde ich den 161W aifag zu kurz, dar er mit seine Stiffness manchmal durchhängt.

Extrem gute Preis/Leistung.

Jeremy Jones is and was one of the famous pro riders of our snowboard time. Even if he only became known to one or the other through his snowboard brand of the same name. His name stands for snowboarding through and through. He recognised the signs of the times and aligned his brand to splitboards in good time and subsequently expanded it every year. The Jones Splitboards have undergone an exciting development. Production started in Tunisia. Currently they are produced by Niedecker/Switzerland which promises a decent quality. Jones tried to counter the growing splitboard market with falling prices. A splitboard for a beginner price was needed, the Explorer was born. But how do you build a cheap split? It did not succeed at first attempt - the Explorer is improved since its appearance 14/15 again and again. Thus also in 16/17 and 17/18 a new revised Explorer with better Schape is at the start. Jones for little money - if you like. The Pomoca skins that have already been cut are the best match. It has been popular and successful since 17/18. Since 19/20 it has been refined in the materials and is now called Frontier.
