The new Ultralight Butterfly Split is an ultralight split for high alpine activities where the balance between weight and performance is extremely important.
By drastically reducing the size of the tip and tail, moving the contact points outwards, the Butterfly Split has the effective edge of a board that is 10 cm longer than its length. The long effective edge is tuned with a True Camber profile for maximum edge performance in variable alpine conditions. For added floatation, quick edge-to-edge response and unmatched torsional stability, the Butterfly Split features 15mm Taper, a 3D Contour Base 3.0, Inner/Outer Traction Tech 3.0, the Boltless Bridge, Karakoram Tip Lock Tip Clips and Karakoram 3C Clips. The Ultralight Butterfly Split also features our new Ultralight construction, which includes a new eco-topsheet and a wood core made of two layers of carbon and multiple sections of Koroyd that absorb chatter at a fraction of the weight of wood.
