Product information "Plum Prems Splitboard 19/20"

Whether the snow is hard, windblown, powdery or whether you encounter natural kickers, you will go everywhere, all the time. This splitboard is definitely Backcountry: its essential purpose is outstanding performances in all conditions. Shaped by hand, the particularity of this model consists in its symmetrical assembling where each element is important. Thanks to its quenched edge in tempered steel and its sharpening tuning, the grip of this splitboard is exceptional. The quadri-axial fibers, which take the core in sandwich, offer a flex that is altogether firm, fun and reactive in torsion. Its core with two kinds of wood heat-sealed to epoxy guarantees an optimal resistance to shocks. The stability of this splitboard will enable you to ride in the widest range of mountainous slopes. Available in 4 sizes.

We were very surprised how well the PLUM splitboards were received at our Testival CTM. By the bank highest grades from the participants.
It is therefore more than the special flair of a French company that has been developing directly on Mont Blanc since 1930. The shapes simply convinced!

The shape offers maximum comfort when climbing in terms of edge retention. That's why the Prems have such a large radius. They are super true to track and have plenty of buoyancy, even though they are max 164 long. So Plum has the perfect mixture of "best possible SKI" and lots of driving fun.

It is not easy to evaluate the advantage in edge retention over a strongly waisted splitboard. But I'd guess roughly that it's about 10% compared to an All-Mountain Shape and another 10% compared to a Powder Shape. It is always important to stand "clean" on the ski :-).

And all this is relative, because it always comes earlier - or at PLUM even later: the crampons are used.
